Information You Submit
When you enter a name, telephone number, or address in a search form, that entry goes to the third-party provider responsible for the results. Our servers do not retain a separate copy of the search. A message sent to us contains only the details you choose to provide, and we use those details to answer the message.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create routine logs that can include an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and visit times. We review this information in aggregate to maintain the service and learn which resources visitors use. Cookies or comparable technologies may support basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
The limited information described above helps us operate the site, diagnose faults, measure visits, and improve resources. We neither sell a visitor list nor create individual visitor profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links may lead to the Seaside City Clerk, Monterey County Recorder, Monterey Superior Court, California agencies, library collections, or outside search tools. Information submitted after leaving this site is controlled by the destination's privacy terms. The same distinction applies to sponsored search results supplied by a third-party company.
Parties That Process Data
Vendors that host or support the service may process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatic information already described. We also disclose information when valid legal process requires it, but do not otherwise share visitor data.
Security and Retention
An encrypted connection delivers the site. Server logs are kept only for as long as the stated operational purposes require. Because there are no visitor accounts, this service does not hold an account password or user profile for you.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
California Privacy Rights
Privacy rights vary by where a visitor lives and may include access, correction, or deletion rights. The California Privacy Protection Agency rights FAQ describes deletion rights and their exceptions for qualifying consumers. Since we retain little visitor information, a request will usually involve checking our contact mailbox and available server logs, then deleting responsive data where required. Send a request through the Contact page. Records held by the City of Seaside, Monterey County, a California agency, or a court remain outside our control and must be addressed to that custodian. Government-record access is governed separately by the California Public Records Act, Government Code section 7920.000 et seq. California's Data Broker Registry and Delete Request and Opt-out Platform apply to businesses covered by those state rules; they do not let this private reference alter a custodian's source record.
Updates to This Policy
A revised policy will be published here. Continuing to use the service after a revision takes effect indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
